Meet CarlaAfter executive producing national daytime game shows for ABC and Warner Brothers in Los Angeles, Carla and her husband, Chris Sloan, launched 2C Creative in Miami, a content production company working with clients like A&E, HBO, TNT, Discovery Channel, FOX, Nickelodeon, and more. Since its inception, 2C Creative has earned 37 coveted PromaxBDA awards.
The mother of two sons, Carla co-established Caleb and Calder Sloan’s Awesome Foundation with her husband, Chris, after the tragic death of their seven-year-old. The awful accident occurred in their home swimming pool due to faulty high-voltage lighting. Reeling from shock and grief, they turned their focus to helping other children in need, prioritizing kids who have suffered the loss of a parent or sibling. The foundation has grown significantly since 2015 to serve hundreds of thousands of people through providing school beautification projects, distributing learning supplies and backpacks to underserved public school children, significant grocery distributions to thousands of food-insecure families, massive hurricane relief supplies and gifts to Puerto Rico, a Legacy fund at their beloved Lehrman Community Day School, a Legacy fund for children to attend Experience Camps, a week-long summer program for children suffering grief, and more personal aid to parents who have suffered the loss of a child.
In addition to writing, Carla is now a practicing medium who has studied with Suzanne Geismann, Mavis Pitilla and her wife, Jean, and Annie Gee, a Mavis Pitilla certified spiritualist teacher and medium. Through VerySoul.com and other venues, Carla has done hundreds of personal readings for those wanting to connect with loved ones who have passed.
Carla lives in Miami with her husband Chris, teenage son Caleb, and her Brussels Griffon dog, Charlie.
